Terms of Service

By engaging Bigfirmlit (“Bigfirmlit,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) for any services, by submitting an intake form, or by making any payment to Bigfirmlit, you (“Client,” “you”) acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms of Service.

Bigfirmlit provides non-attorney, self-help legal document preparation and administrative support services to self-represented individuals. Services include, but are not limited to: court document formatting, letter drafting support, government claim packet preparation, public records request preparation, evidence and exhibit lists, timeline summaries, debt validation and cease-and-desist letter preparation, document review (formatting only), and case file organization.

Bigfirmlit is not a law firm. No attorney-client relationship is created by use of our services or by any communication with our staff. Communications with Bigfirmlit are not protected by attorney-client privilege.

Bigfirmlit does not provide legal advice. We do not interpret the law, advise on legal strategy, or recommend specific causes of action. If you require legal advice, you must consult a licensed attorney. Bigfirmlit will not engage in the unauthorized practice of law.

• Provide accurate, complete, and truthful information for use in document preparation.
• Review all documents prepared by Bigfirmlit before signing, filing, sending, or delivering them.
• Independently verify deadlines, filing requirements, court rules, and procedural requirements applicable to your matter.
• Sign, file, send, and deliver documents yourself. Bigfirmlit does not file documents on your behalf or appear in court.
• Make all decisions about your matter, including whether to retain an attorney.

Payment is due in full at the time services are ordered, unless a membership plan is in effect. Bigfirmlit accepts payment through the secure payment processor integrated with our platform. Pricing is flat-rate as published on our Pricing page; rush fees, printing, mailing, and other ancillary charges may apply.

• Within 24 hours, work not started: Full refund available upon request.
• Work in progress: Partial refund at our discretion based on the work completed.
• After delivery of completed documents: No refund.
• Refund requests must be made in writing to team@bigfirmlit.madethis.app.

Each document includes one (1) free revision after initial delivery, provided the revision request is submitted within 7 days. Additional revisions are billed at $25 per revision per document. Revisions are limited to formatting, grammar, clarity, and incorporating new facts you provide. Substantive rewrites or scope expansions may be billed as new services.

Documents prepared by Bigfirmlit and delivered to you are licensed for your personal use in the matter for which they were prepared. Bigfirmlit retains ownership of its templates, methodologies, and proprietary materials. You may not resell or redistribute documents prepared for you to third parties.

Bigfirmlit treats client information as confidential and uses reasonable measures to protect it. However, because Bigfirmlit is not a law firm, communications with Bigfirmlit are not subject to attorney-client privilege. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bigfirmlit’s total liability for any claim arising from or related to our services is limited to the amount paid by you for the specific service giving rise to the claim. Bigfirmlit is not liable for any outcome in court, before any agency, or in any negotiation, nor for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.

Bigfirmlit operates in compliance with California Business and Professions Code §6400 et seq., which governs Legal Document Assistants. Bigfirmlit is authorized to prepare legal documents at the direction of self-represented clients but does not provide legal advice or representation.

Either party may terminate services at any time, subject to the Refund Policy above. Bigfirmlit reserves the right to decline or discontinue service in any matter that we determine, in our sole discretion, would require us to engage in the unauthorized practice of law or that conflicts with our compliance obligations.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or our services shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California.

Bigfirmlit may update these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of our services after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
