No Legal Advice
Bigfirmlit does not provide legal advice. We do not interpret the law for your situation, recommend legal strategy, advise you on which causes of action to file, predict outcomes, or evaluate the legal sufficiency of any document. We prepare documents based on the facts and instructions you provide. If you need legal advice, you must consult a licensed attorney.
No Legal Representation
Bigfirmlit does not represent clients in court, in administrative proceedings, in mediation, in arbitration, or in any negotiation with opposing parties. Clients of Bigfirmlit remain fully self-represented at all times. Our role is limited to document preparation, formatting, and administrative support.
No Attorney-Client Relationship
No attorney-client relationship is created by use of Bigfirmlit’s services, by communicating with our staff, by submitting an intake form, or by any other interaction with Bigfirmlit. Communications with Bigfirmlit are not protected by attorney-client privilege. While we treat client information as confidential, you should not share any communication with us under the assumption that it is legally privileged.
Self-Represented Status
Clients of Bigfirmlit are self-represented (also called “pro se” or “in propria persona”). You are responsible for signing, filing, mailing, and delivering all documents yourself. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide to us and for the decisions you make in your own matter.
California LDA Compliance
Bigfirmlit operates in compliance with California Business and Professions Code §6400 et seq., which governs Legal Document Assistants. As an LDA service, Bigfirmlit is authorized to prepare legal documents at the direction of a self-represented client. We do not, under any circumstances, engage in the unauthorized practice of law.
Consult an Attorney
Always consult a licensed attorney for legal advice specific to your situation. Bigfirmlit’s services are not a substitute for legal representation. If your matter is complex, time-sensitive, or involves significant exposure, you are strongly encouraged to retain counsel.
Limitation of Liability
Bigfirmlit’s liability for any matter arising from our services is limited to the amount paid by the client for the specific service in question. Bigfirmlit is not liable for any outcome in court, before any agency, or in any negotiation. Clients are solely responsible for the legal effect of documents they sign and file.
